Food Drive

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our food donation at the 2010 Annual Meeting last month. As you can see, even small donations can become a large one. All food donations were given to the Holy Trinity Food Pantry in Coldwater.

The 2009 Annual Meeting was held at the Coldwater Legion on Feb. 14, 2010. A sellout crowd of 200 members and guests attended. After dinner and a short business meeting, we spent the afternoon playing bingo, 50-50, and drawing winners for several door prizes. The prizes and their winners are: John Steinbrunner--42" Television; Diana Reigelsperger--GPS; Eugene Homan--Playstation III; and Julia Kremer--floral centerpiece.

Scam artists are sending simultaneous text scams to family members' cell phones, according to an alert from John North, President/CEO of the Better Business Bureau. BBB received a call from a woman inquiring about text messages she and her husband received on their cell phones from a 4-digit number. The texts said, "We found a problem in your credit union account. Call urgently!" and left a number to call. A recorded message asked for a credit card number. The woman called to verify the message with her credit union and was told the message was a scam. Please be advised "We will never ask for personal information via texting or email because it is not a secure channel for communication. If you receive texts or messages similar to this, please contact the credit union first at 419-678-3335."
